OUR STORY

Detroit Power Detroit Inc (DPDI) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was founded in 2018. Our mission is to help eliminate racial disparities by creating upward mobility among oppressed groups through financial literacy, mental health services,  and youth sport clinics. DPDI believes in the power of individuals and community support to enhance equity among historically oppressed groups. “By investing in the most oppressed people, we are investing in ourselves and future generations.”

The Founder and CEO, Courtney A. Grove-Dyer MSW, LLMSW is a first generation college graduate who received a Masters degree from the University of Michigan School of Social Work in 2021.
